Social Conditioning and the Pinnacle of Modern Civilization

Every period in human history is marked by peaks of social achievement such as the establishment of a culture that will be the wonder of the age. Every civilization in history prided itself with their unique contributions. Laws, brilliant ideas, vast empires, magnificent monuments and other notable advancements and milestones became the hallmark of the grandeur of past civilizations. Beyond these accomplishments is an intangible core. Most if not all of their legacies are fundamentally based on social conditioning. This process in which behavior and thought are tamed, directed and channeled resulted to attainment of feats that would echo throughout history. Social conditioning is what separated tribes from empires, civilizations from dispersed nomads.

Social conditioning is the foremost approach of individuals and indeed, the rest of society in promoting, ingraining and imprinting ideas, goals and means into individuals and entire social groups. They calculatedly pervade thought and consciousness to the point that it reshapes nature, tendencies and behavioral inclinations. The savagery of man is replaced by obedience to structures and norms. Fierce individualism is tampered with the acknowledged value of the communal whole. Base thought is seen to be mediocre and higher thinking as the pinnacle of self-development. In these and other instances social conditioning reshaped what it is to be human and the human condition itself.

Laws are the product of an effort to have a system of restraint and co - existence among individual interests. Education and advanced thought is an effort to evolve the human mind and consciousness to heights unheard of. Marvels in architecture and engineering are manifestations of the human aspiration to reshape nature and his existence beyond the natural realm. The instances are staggeringly boundless in number. They all are pronged upon the shaping of the human mind and nature to achieve goals that would significantly advance the human civilization.

Many claim that the pinnacle of human civilization is best manifested by whatever achievement and monument were produced. This is merely the consequence of social conditioning when societies actively labored to enhance and develop the social dimensions of the succeeding generations to be better than their predecessors. Thus, the pinnacle of human civilization lies in the intangible realm of human thought, behavior and consciousness. Man's achievement has all been possible due to the social reengineering of human thought, behavior and consciousness. When history speaks of the brilliance of the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Aztecs and other peoples, this is an implicit citing of how far social conditioning has taken them.

In the 21st century social conditioning is in itself and as a means to an end is the fundamental and critical peak of human civilization. Today, the human condition's bounds are repeatedly pushed back farther and farther than ever before. The current efforts involve exploring how far human thought and behavior be developed. Furthermore, this enables the human race to be able to delve, with greater clarity and certainty, into the nature of the human condition. All of these were made possible simply because man's predecessors believe that the capacity of man can be expanded by social conditioning.
