How to Use SMTP Relay Service With Android Mobile Devices - Quick Guide in 4 Steps

If you want to send an email while travelling you may encounter a serious problem. While changing location you probably change a network which connects you to Internet. So if you try to use Outlook (or any other email client) to sent an email from some hot spot at the airport with your usual settings - you will most probably be blocked. SMTP relay service is a solution for that.

This simple guide will help you with exemplary setting up your android phone or tablet to work with SMTP service. You just need to have an account in one of available services. To learn more about the service and how to get it just follow the ling at the bottom of the article. There are a lot of SMTP relay services - just search Google for one of them.

So, if you have your account - let's get to the guide itself!

1. Adding a new email account in your phone.

Just go to your email app and add a new account. Probably you will have to put your email address registered on your chosen SMTP service and a password for your account. Then click on Manual setup.

2. Choose pop3 as an account type.

3. Incoming mail server settings.

You have to put some data about your email. Typically you can get them from your email service provider - for example your ISP. You will need your username, a password, a pop3 server address, a proper port number and security type. All of them should be checkable for you on your email service provider's site. But I've got a tip for you: ask Google this way: pop3 port settings site:[your email service provider domain]. For example type this query for AOL account into Google search: pop3 port settings site:aol.com. One of the few first pages should have your settings displayed!

4. Outgoing mail server settings.

This is the most important part. Usually you would also use the settings from you email service provider. But to be able to use all the goods of your new SMTP relay service account, we will use its SMTP server address as an outgoing mail server. Remember that you need to have an account first. There are also free options available, so you can test the usefulness of this. You need to check the address of SMTP server provided by your chosen SMTP relay service. Set this as an outgoing mail server. The port number should also be checked on your service providers site. There is a good chance however, that 2525 will do the job. In some cases it might be 25, 8025 or 587 also but probably 2525 will work just fine. Follow the link at the end of this guide for more details on this. As for the security type and Require sign-in part - check those also on your providers site. As a username and password you should probably type your account data.

And that's it. Now just add a name for your new account. Anywhere you are you will be able to send an email without being blocked. And you will not have to change this settings every time you change your location and a network you are connected to.

App Maker Quick Tips When Developing a Mobile App for Business

The expansion and market size of smartphone users is undeniable. As more and more people today are relying on iPhones and other smartphones, majority of businesses are turning to mobile apps as an effective way for clients to connect with their company. And while creating a concept for your mobile application can be fun and exciting, the creation process is where the actual challenge lies--most especially if you're not tech-savvy. For your guidance, here are some app maker quick tips you should keep in mind when developing a mobile app for your business:

Make it easy to use, free or inexpensive to buy, functional and engaging that users will not have enough of using it and keep coming back for more.
Users absolutely loathe slow apps. So don't pack it up with features or functionalities that might just make it slow to use and too complex to understand.
Make it easily recognizable by making your app consistent with your branding (logo, color schemes, slogan, etc.) This also helps in strengthening your brand and promotes customer loyalty.
Never release it until you're satisfied and happy with it. Like any product, launching an app with glitches and bugs will result to frustrated customers. And this may generate negative feedback, discouraging others from downloading it.
Keep it fun and efficient to use so users would want to share it with their friends on their social networking accounts.
Avoid imitating what's already there, unless you have something innovative to add on that existing app. There's already so much competition out there that you certainly don't want to become 'just another app'.

Everyone has a wonderful app concept designed to drive their business forward at some point--whether to improve productivity, provide more information to clients, etc. Consider these pointers above when you're looking at developing an iPhone app/mobile app for your business.

How To Be Happier: A Quick and Effective Solution

We all know people who dwell on the unhappy events in their lives and in the world in general. What a drag they are on those around them. One factor sets them apart as habitually sad, while others are generally happy. Want to know the 'how to be happier' secret?

The simple, unrefined, yet profound answer to the 'how to be happier' problem is this: Refuse to even contemplate the possibility of being unhappy. Some explanation is in order. Worriers, for example, expect bad things are going to happen - or at least that good things probably are not going to happen. They anticipate the worst and during all that worry-time, while anticipating the worst, they can't possibly be happy. The mere process of worrying forces one to be less than happy and that typically translates into something between sad and distraught.

In contrast to worriers, are the planners. When planners see less than happy situations transpire or figure they are about to transpire they say: "OK, that's how it is now. What steps can I take to fix it?" That immediately moves them out the helpless, frozen, worrier class into the confident, take-charge, planner class.

He worrier spends his life replaying over and over again, all the bad stuff (and even possible bad stuff that hasn't even happened). Each replay adds unhappiness to his life; it paints an ever more vivid picture of a bleak, helpless, existence, which reinforces his unhappiness. By moving immediately to planning solutions you turn on your inner positive power and optimism. (Habitual worriers are always pessimists.)

In essence, worriers focus on how to be (and stay) unhappy. Planners focus on how to be happier through finding solutions. I stumbled upon a magnificent trick many years ago. I was disturbed by the fact that when I greeted others with the typical greetings - "How are you?", "How ya doin'?", "Things going well are they?" - a significant number of folks gave me replays such as, "Not so good," "Terrible", "Had better times," etc. I figured by asking those seemingly harmless questions (by which I really meant, "Hey there, I recognize your existence and hope life is good,"), I was allowing them an opportunity to verbalize and thereby reinforce the unhappiness in their lives. I needed a 'how to be happier' approach, instead.

So, I developed a series of more life affirming greetings: "What a wonderful day, don't you think?", Can you believe this fabulous weather?", "Hey! You're looking great!" Each requires an affirmative answer before they can really think about the greeting. If they greet me first with a question like, "How are you?", I answer, "I am fantastic and fully expect to get better as the day goes on." The alternative is to listen to the downers other people spew back at us. Just don't provide opportunities for other people to suggest negative, self-defeating, statements. Those not only reinforce their unhappiness but tend to burst our joyful bubble as well.

When we approach others as if we are having or contemplate having a happy, successful, uplifting day, our own subconscious mind hears what we are saying and sets us up to believe it. It thereby becomes a reasonable self-fulfilling prophecy. When we say we feel great, we actually begin to feel great. When we say things are bad, we allow unhappiness to get its grip on our life. How does this come about?

Your Deep Mind (subconscious) tries its best to help us feel and behave in the manners it believes we want to feel and behave. It determines those things by listening to our words and watching our behaviors. Choose to make your relationship with your Deep Mind a powerfully helpful one. Show it how to be happier and in return it will support you as you seek your answer to how to be happier.

So, here they are - five hints about how to be happier.

How To Be Happier: Hint #1- Never contemplate the possibility of being unhappy.

How To Be Happier: Hint #2- Never replay unhappy situations (or their possibility) It marks you as a helpless worrier.

How To Be Happier: Hint #3- Become a planner and focus on solutions.

How To Be Happier: Hint #4- Tell others and yourself positive, happy, things.

How To Be Happier: Hint #5- Don't give others the opportunity to suggest unhappy possibilities to you.

There are mind training programs that teach exactly how to go about all of this. You may ant to Google them for more information.

Simplify Your Life - 7 Really Quick Ways To Make Your Life So Much Simpler

Life happens at such a fast pace nowadays. We often have so much going on that we don't take the time to make our lives simpler.

The problem is that we often don't know where to start making our lives less complicated. The more we do, the more stressed we become, which in turn can complicate our lives even more.

It takes courage to change, but it will be worth it. Here are 7 quick and easy ways to help you live a more simple and enjoyable life.

1) How many hats do you wear? Take an inventory of everything you do, and the activities you are involved in. Is it in your interest to continue with all of these activities? If it is, can you reduce the time you devote to these? Are there any that could be dropped, in preference for new, more valuable and beneficial activities?

2) You must learn to use the word "no". We often take on more than we can cope with. Sometimes we feel that it is easier to accept an assignment or task rather than saying no. Try to work out why you keep taking on more. Perhaps you want recognition, or you would feel guilty or inadequate if you declined to do something.

3) Get rid of stuff. Rather than spending time organizing and re-arranging all of your stuff, it would be far more productive to get rid of what you don't need or want! This is a really freeing exercise, and not only will you gain more space, but you will probably rake in a bit of cash too.

4) Create a monthly dinner menu. If you can plan your dinners for the next month, then this will alleviate a lot of stress and make food shopping so much easier too. Once you've come up with a monthly plan, this can simply be repeated throughout the year, so simplifying your life even more.

5) Whittle down your wardrobe. Often, we can't decide what to wear because we simply have too much to choose from! Go through your wardrobe and get rid of items you haven't worn in the last year (or have no intention of wearing). We all have items in our closets that seemed a good idea at the time, but which have never been worn.

6) Streamline the clutter on your computer. How much of the information on your hard drive have you used? It is so easy to request a free report here and there, or download a free piece of software and save it to your computer "until later". Spend an afternoon going through files that you have downloaded and decide which should be kept.

7) Go on a TV diet. Television uses up a lot of our precious time, which we could be using much more productively. If you can't give up watching TV altogether, then reduce your viewing time by at least half. Be selective in what you watch, and don't spend valuable time surfing channels. If there is nothing to watch, then switch off the TV.

This is only a tiny sample of ways to simplify your life. I challenge you to take some time out for yourself, and decide how you could make your life so much easier and reduce your stress levels.

I guarantee that your life will become so much more enjoyable!
