Personal Improvement

As time passes you by and as you endure life's many challenges, it is vital and a must that you develop and improve yourself for the better. Life is a constant change. It oftentimes presents many unhappy circumstances in your daily life. You can keep yourself upbeat by spreading out yourself and have personal improvement plans for your own good. In achieving your goal for a better you, the following are hindrances you have to avoid.

1. Over confidence. Everyone would love you less and start to hate you more if you think and feel that everything you do is the right thing. Be open to reactions and suggestions.

2. Inability to carry out things. Since you are overconfident, you will likely to overlook some details needed for you to carry out your task in a given project.

3. Losing self-confidence. While others may be oozing with confidence, others do not have this and they choose to dwell in their imperfection. Nobody is perfect, keep that in mind. You are blessed with the chance to develop yourself and it is all up to you.

4. Pessimistic and a quitter. A pessimist is someone who, when he has the choice between two evils, chooses both. If you are the type who gives up easily, then you will need to change a lot in your personality. Quitters never win. Think you can. Believe you can and this will give you a positive outlook in life.

5. Inconsistency. Being inconsistent in what you do will only lead you to idleness and stagnation. You remain in that unhappy situation.

6. Inability to commit. Be open to changes as they come regularly. You will be able to reach your own goals and expectations if you commit yourself to change.

7. Old "bad" habits are hard to die. But they have to die anyway. Begin getting rid of your bad habits. Then form a support network. Surround yourself with loved ones, colleagues and friends that will influence you with good habits.

Personal improvement calls you to come out from your comfort zones. It is never easy, who ever said it was? Coming out from your shell opens you to a world of new opportunities and potentials you never knew that you possess. You may positively and constructively use your current situation to get you through the problems and allow you to begin living the life you always longed to have.

Anyone can be successful no matter their age, location and even financial condition. You will always get better in time once you have focused yourself on your personal improvement. Stay focused in spite of whatever difficulties you may encounter. Be bigger than your dreams, get over your fears and be willing to take risks. Have a winning attitude and set goals. Setting your goals is important in reaching what you want in life. These goals have to be either long-term or short-term (or both). They have to be written down and you do have to strive on working towards achieving them. Put away all notions of failures then move ahead. By then, you begin to win in everything that you do.

The daily challenges that I faced and even some of my 'failures' had contributed to my personal improvement. It had prepared me well to meet my next enigma life will offer.

A Personal Reflection on Patriotism Undiminished

I am passionate about many things in life; God, family, education, health, and more specifically, my constitutional rights. Be assured that these rights are most precious and sacred to me. As an adult, I have come to grow more fondly of the freedoms this great nation provides. At times I have taken for granted what has been given to me without regard for those who have sacrificed life and limb. Undeniably, many of our brothers and sisters have served this country with dignity, honor, and purpose so that we may exercise our rights as inscribed in the Constitution.

Moreover, my awareness has grown profoundly of those who intentionally abuse what others have paid for with their very lives. I do not take kindly to any American with disdain towards the constitution. I have no respect for that mentality, and abhorred their arrogant attitudes. Their actions, if any, to diminish the importance and application of our Constitution would give me cause to act with strength of mind and an undiminished resolve in defense of what I consider to be a revered document.

If anyone is compelled to express their opinions that do not support this country, they are perfectly free to do so. However, they should be prepared for a response that might go beyond their comprehension, their willingness to understand, or beyond their expectations. Speaking directly to anyone hostile to, and living in, the United States of America, I encourage you to leave and find a place where people share your sentiments. The United States of America does not need anymore disloyalty.

Let me state explicitly that I will never cower to those pretentious individuals who are inept and misguided in thought and deed attempting to redirect democracy. Their putrid words and injurious actions are nothing but poison. There is a remedy for such, it is called a value system; core beliefs that will overpower their weak and sick spirit of personal gratification and thoughtlessness.

I am speaking to those who would rather burn our American flag instead of embracing it. I am speaking to those who are afraid to hear the truth supported by fact, experiences, knowledge, and conviction. I am speaking to those who consciously break our laws for any reason and don't find the fortitude to correct their behavior and rectify the damage done. To those who find it painful to salute our flag, say the pledge of allegiance, praise our military men and women, and/or support our Constitution, I ask you to reconsider these notions; by doing so, you help to grow the strength of our nation.

I am about what makes this country strong, not weak and vulnerable. My dedication is to any cause that promotes and supports the defense and security of this nation. I will protect my country, die for it if necessary. Likewise, my family will receive the same protection. Defending truth is not easy, it takes courage and commitment, it takes a bold and confident stance; it takes men and women willing to stand their ground so this country can achieve greatness once again.

We once stood as a stalwart beacon of hope where dreams, security, democracy, and a nation built on faith and trust in God were central to its value system. Now, the nation has been shaken to its core because of the intentional attack on its sovereignty and fundamental principles. This must not continue and I shall not watch the tumult unfold without a fight; and I use the word fight in every sense of the word. With conviction I firmly believe this has been partially caused by partisan agendas to further influence the degradation and potential demise of our founding principles and rights.

For those who need a foundation of hope, an inspiration, and positive influence, we must provide them with opportunities for personal growth and to earn prosperity by their own good deeds. With zeal, we must renew this great nation to edify the world. May God bless each of you with the tenacity, passion, and steadfastness to defend this country from enemies, both foreign and domestic, and to be counted among those who are protectors of peace, liberty, and freedom; indeed, for us to unite as citizens of the United States of America.

Start Your Day With A Personal Success Ritual In 4 Easy Steps

Every person should have a morning success ritual. People that have morning success rituals are more productive, happier and healthier. I know you want to improve the quality of your life, so I am going to give you a blueprint on how to create your personal morning ritual and convert it into a habit.

First, you want to wake up a little bit early, because your ritual will be around 90 minutes long.

Step 1: When you wake up, first thing you need to do is to drink a half liter of water. This is even before you wash your teeth. Your body is dehydrated in the morning so you need that water to start a productive day.

Step 2: Now is the time to work out a little. It`s better to exercise in the morning, because it increases your heart rate, and you will have much more energy during the day. Try to exercise for about 30 minutes. If you exercise later in the day you will feel tired and your productivity level will drop.

Step 3: After your work out you should eat breakfast. Think about the food you eat in the morning. There is a reason why breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You have to eat rich nutritious food in the morning so you will feel better and have more energy. Your breakfast should include whole grains, low fat protein, low fat dairy and fruits. I suggest you consult this with a professional nutritionist.

Step 4: After breakfast clean your teeth and do your usual routine in the bathroom. It is important that you brush your teeth after the morning meal. When you are done in the bathroom, try to meditate. You don`t need to learn advanced meditation techniques. I just want you to focus on your breathing. Close your eyes and only concentrate on your breathing. Five seconds for one inhale, and five seconds for one exhale. This is a basic but very effective exercise for building concentration. Don`t feel bad if you will have a ton of different thoughts running in your head. That is what happens when you start with meditation. Do it every day and you will get better, and you will be able to focus for a longer periods of time.

It is important that you do this every day. It takes around 30 days to develop a new habit. If you miss one day, don`t feel bad, do it immediately the next day. I know there are some things here that you don`t like to do. But if you turn this things into habits, you will become more productive and enjoy a successful life. Repetition is key to success.

Take control of your life and turbocharge your productivity. make a positive change with these secrets to a productive and successful life.

Personal Success Is Just 3 Steps Away

Achieving personal success means different things to different people but it all boils down to knowing what you want and then going out and getting it! Some may have the desire to become successful with their own business thereby attaining financial freedom from a traditional job! For others finding happiness may concern something more along the lines of meaningful relationships with family and friends! Although people may have different goals or preferences the best way to become successful reaching your objectives can be summed up in 3 relatively simple steps!

What Do You Want

Profound yet simple there it is, what exactly is it that will make you feel complete, whole, successful or happy? Finding happiness starts with knowing how to identify it if you see it! This gives you a clearer picture of what is important to you, what makes you tick and what it is you should be focusing on! Maybe it's spiritual in nature or perhaps something a little more materialistic but in either case you need to define what will make you happy! Only by doing so can you place yourself in a position to become successful achieving what it will take to reach your objective!

What Don't You Want

Now this is just as important as determining what you want since this gives you the 'warning' signs' that you're off track. It also helps you plan more deliberately to avoid the things you find unpleasant and helps you better coordinate your efforts to get where you want to go! Knowing what you want and don't want for that matter also helps you spend your time more productively and enjoyably since now your focus is clearer. Making this determination helps you be more productive from the standpoint that the actions you do take will ultimately make you a happier person! In the end that's all anybody really wants and that is to be happy and if you can achieve that then you're a success!

What Are You Waiting For

You've made all the determinations as to what direction you need to take to get where you want to go now it's up to you to take action! In order to become successful at anything action must be taken or nothing happens and your own desires remain merely a dream!

Personal success is just that, personal, and it means different things for different people. As our discussion above has pointed out it all starts with knowing what you want. Once this determination is made it makes it much easier to actually become successful at reaching your goals and objectives! Finding happiness either personally or professionally first requires defining your goals and then taking the necessary actions to reach them in the most straight-forward fashion! The 3 simple steps reviewed above hopefully serve to help anybody become successful living a more complete and happier life!

Personal and Career Development: Secret to Success

When one talks about success, it usually conjures the image of career advancement. Personal and career development in reality goes hand in hand. Though often times we fail to see personal growth as an integral part of success. Most of the time we see success as having money, getting to travel and those luxurious things you can buy.

If you are to scrutinize people who are really on top of their game, you would likely see that not only are they raking a hefty amount of money during payday but they also cultivate strength in their personality may it be in the form of leadership or personal views on things. There are a lot of things that you can conquer when you also nurture personal growth while paving your career path. Learning to strike a balance in personal and career development will be your key to success.

A few of the advantages of also nurturing your personal developments are less stress, career development and determination to persevere. Since you know how to manage your personality you learn how to react to various stimuli in your environment. This will definitely make your career path brighter as you also grow focused on what you want. Despite the challenges that are thrown your way, you learn how to see beyond the circumstances and turn them into opportunities. You don't always complain about your current situation and thus you easily take on new challenging tasks for career growth.

Some people have their own techniques in growing the development of both personal and career paths. Among these techniques, setting priorities would probably be the most common. A successful person knows how to juggle things and this entails learning how to prioritize. They know that they cannot do all the things at the same time and as much as they would want to have everything on air, they can only catch a few things at a time. Knowing that they cannot have everything, the do not get grumpy if they don't get what they want but rather work on the things within their reach and polish them.

These people know how to set their goals and sharpen their focus on these goals to attain the objective they want. Embracing the fact that they can only do so much but do each thing excellently keeps them ahead of their trade. What sets apart top performers from the middle players is their personal views on things. Winners know that if they work on both their personal and career development, success will surely go after them.

The altruistic aspects of personal development
Some of the more altruistic elements of personal development have Parallels with some of the world's spiritual tradition. A good example would be, The Eightfold Path of Buddhism which focus on the development of skills such as:

Right View
Right Intention
Right Speech
Right Action
Right Livelihood
Right Effort
Right Mindfulness
Right Concentration
Check out the Parallels

Right View this can be a likened to, open mindedness, beliefs, continual learning of techniques or methods to expand awareness, thoughtfulness.

Right Intention this can be a likened to defining of one's values or the effort to develop mutually beneficial relationships for the general and greater good.

Right Intentions form a personal development point of view this can be seen as increasing your awareness of your actions and adjusting them for the greater good.

Right Speech, from a personal development view this would be Communication skills. Communications skills may also include your internal dialogue as in positive speech.

Right Action, this can be seen as exercising consideration, personal integrity, exercising wisdom.

Right Livelihood, this would have a relation to lifestyle as I'm enhancing one's quality of life, career, and working in an ethical line of employment etc.

Right Effort, this would relate to discipline commitment
determination persistence.

Right Mindfulness, can be a likened to thoughtfulness consideration...

... And finally

Right Concentration, can be a likened to clarity, focus, exercising discipline of thoughts.

So where do you start? And what does it take?

Define an area of life you would like to work on...

1 create a vision
2 make a plan
3 action your plan

Commit to daily actions targeted towards change
Find a system or programme to facilitate your growth, in some cases this may mean reading the related material, books, websites blogs, in other cases this my mean joining the related clubs or taking courses etc. The main point is to develop a self image complementary to your goal/vision.

Their are no instant solutions, quick fixes or magic formulas to personal development - personal growth other then an awareness for the need for personal growth and the desire to grow. Granted that the two above conditions are meet - an awareness of the need for personal growth - and the desire to grow, you will be able to find success with the following tools:

Commitment,
Discipline,
persistence
inquisitiveness
These tools will make a nice starter in your chosen area of personal development/growth.

The Creative Power within us makes us into the image of that to which we give our attention."

Wallace Delois Wattles

Here are two typical examples of a personal development exercise:
Example one

Renewing self images
First in order to realise success in you chosen area of personal development / growth. You need to do two things invest some time to identify and define an area you would like to develop ie you want a promotion

Developing an image of yourself in your finish or ideal state/position -

What you're going to look like

How are you going to feel?

How will you be acting?
Develop you're new self image daily
Example two

The following is an extract from Napoleon hill think and grow rich, Hill is describing the six steps needed to develop what he calls the burning desire needed to drive a person to the accomplishment of their goals. In this example the steps relate to money but with creative editing this formula can be applied to any area of goal attainment.

"First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say, "I want plenty of money." Be definite as to the amount. (There is a psychological reason for definiteness, which will be described in a subsequent chapter). See book Think and grow rich napoleon Hill

Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as "something for nothing.)

Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not to put this plan into action.

Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning.

Napoleon Hill's 13 Success Principles are;

Desire, Faith, Auto-Suggestion, Specialized Knowledge, Imagination, Organised Planning, Decision, Persistence, the Master Mind, Transmutation, the Subconscious Mind, the Brain and the Sixth Sense

Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill is a must have work -Think and grow rich is over flowing with valuable knowledge

All that man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thougths."
