Upon reading this title, don't think that there are areas wherein it's OK for mobile apps development experts to make a mistake. Usability
Users can be very unforgiving if they find that the app they have downloaded onto their smartphones, faces usability issues. The fact of the matter is that users want to optimize the use of their apps and that too, without putting in a whole lot of time in trying to work out its interface design, features and overall functionality. Simplicity should be the hallmark of an app and developers must ensure that even the most complex app functionality is broken down into its simplest possible form. This ensures that users are able to use the app in an optimum manner; this is another area wherein mistakes can lead to a drastic impact on app popularity.
Client
A big area of concern is always whether the app is client oriented or not. Yes, it might come as a surprise to many that at times developers don't ensure that their development process is as client driven as possible. What this does is that they aren't entirely able to ensure that app helps achieve client goals. This is an error that needs to be avoided at all costs. The whole idea of developing a mobile app is based on the fact that it seeks to address certain client requirements. If it isn't able to do that, there isn't any point in developing a mobile app is there.
This is just a small cross section of the development areas in which mistakes can't be ignored. If developers don't give due importance to these 'areas', there is every chance that the app won't be able to achieve any degree of success.
