iPhone Features - From Spying to High Quality Camera

Did you know that the iPhone is the only smartphone that can act as a spying device? A lot of users did not know this until it was discovered by security personnel who wanted to use the smart phone to track the location of their users.

It has been found that the iPhone has a unique feature which keeps track of every place you go. So far as the phone is switched on a user can be easily tracked. Such information can be downloaded and stored on the computer for later reference. The only thing a person has to do is to connect the smart phone to the PC or Mac and after synchronization, the data is downloaded onto the phone.

If you are a jealous spouse and you think your partner is cheating on you, then this is one of the easiest ways to track your partner. Buy an iPhone for him or her and during the weekend you can synchronize everything on the smartphone with your computer. You would then know exactly where your partner has been all throughout the week.

No other smartphone has such a feature. iPhone is one of its kind in the smartphone market.

The iPhone has a perfect picture application which enhances images on the smart phone. To own an iPhone is like to own a digital camera. Photographs of good quality can be taken easily. These pictures can be edited on the smart phone and can be sent directly onto the web.

Chatting on iPhone is easier. Anybody who wants to log on to Facebook can easily do that. Chatting in Facebook is also very easy since the interface is so clear it seems the person is using his or her computer.

iPhone version 4 has another unique feature which is the twin camera. The twin camera allows a person to have video chat while talking on the phone. Speaking on the phone seems like speaking in reality since you are looking at the person you are talking to.

The iPhone also has a rotating screen which changes when a user changes the position of the phone. To watch a movie, the user just has to turn the phone horizontally in order to view the quality video. Because of the battery lifespan of the phone, a user can watch a complete series of movies on the phone without charging it.

The only disadvantage of the smart phone is that it needs a long time to fully recharge and care should be taken since the recharging can take some time. You can change or replace the phone since it is securely sealed and can be opened only by Apple Inc.

Apart from that, the phone is one of the best in the market today.

The Camera - An Important Feature Of The iPhone

Undoubtedly, out of the numerous iPhone applications, the camera icon/button/application is the most interesting of all. Since the time mobile phones were invented, the ability to photograph real world moments and storing it for eternity has always captured the imagination of humans. This resulted in the iPhone developers creating various special applications for taking photos, the Camera.

Evolution

The iPhone and iPhone3G were the initial versions of iPhone. These consisted of two megapixel camera which is a really good resolution. But these two versions had no capability to record videos. Then came along, the iPhone3GS that has a camera resolution of three megapixels to help you store finer memories to last a lifetime. Videos can be recorded at a resolution of 30 frames per second (VGA). It is not a great resolution, but considering the memory constraints, it is reasonable.

Current Features

Then iPhone enters the market that has a specialized mobile operating system, the iOS4. The iPhone has two cameras, one on the back and one on the front. This is called the facetime feature of iPhone4. One can toggle between these two camera modes with the use of a single touch. The camera at the back has a resolution of five megapixels and the front has a VGA resolution (0.3 megapixel). Also included is an LED flash that helps in the times of bad lighting. The incredible feature of this iPhone application version is the 5x zoom option. The recording of videos is also done in High Definition (HD) with a resolution of 720 pixels and the same 30 frames per second. The front side camera has a lesser VGA resolution of the same frame frequency. It probably sounds like the ultimate gadget to have but there is more to it with the introduction of iOS5, an advanced mobile operating system. This OS has the camera application with enhanced features like photo composition with grid lines, autofocus and auto exposure. It may be just a phone, but Apple does not like to leave any stone unturned even in its camera application.

Usage

This iPhone application opens when clicked on the camera icon in the unlocked screen. In iOS5, this icon appears on the locked screen itself, for faster access to this application. Once inside, instantly we come to the camera mode. On the bottom-left corner is the icon to go to the photo-mode and on the top-left is the button to come back to the camera mode. While in the photo mode, we have numerous options for the currently selected photo, like email, delete, MMS, use as wallpaper or save it up for one of the contacts. These options don't end here since iPhone developers are constantly reinventing and developing newer and better versions all the time.

Review

This feature of the iPhone is indeed commendable for its futuristic technology and ease of use. It is notably easy to handle, even by a layman who knows nothing about technology. Such is the extent of the people-understanding of the iPhone developers that they have designed this wonderful camera application and is complete unique to the iPhone.
